Songwriter Showcase

A few times per year, we showcase local musicians who write and perform their own music. This give you a chance to get to know the artists a bit, and to make a deeper conenction to their music. Recently, the Windsor Locks Arts Council has joined on to co-sponsor this event enabling us to increase compensation to the artists. We have found several of these folks from their appearance at our monthly Open Mic.

The Format

We rotate thru a lineup of 3 musicians where each musician gets two 15-minute sets. During the first round, our host has a brief 5 minute conversation with the artist to help the audience get to know them a bit. During the second round, the host pulls 1-2 “questions from a hat” that spark another quick conversation before their second set.

Everything is centered around helping our customers connect more deeply with these local artists so they can help spread the word & support them in their musical endeavors.
