Our friends Burt & Amy - owners of House of Books and Games (HBG for short) - have curated a huge collection of games for you to borrow while you relax and enjoy a pint or two in the Taproom.
Burt & Amy maintain our “Game Grotto” in the taproom with 70+ games. Games are free to play with a beverage purchase. If you find something you really like, we have brand new copies of each game that you can buy - from them (100% of proceeds go to HBG) - right in the taproom!
We’ve got a loyal group of gamers in the taproom pretty much every Thursday. Most of the time that includes HBG Owner & Game Sherpa: Burt! If you need help choosing amongst our 70+ games, he’s always happy to offer a game recommendation. But if you need a bit more assistance with rules & gameplay – well…you can see what happens if you ask nicely and buy him a beer! (A more formal “Guided Game” request system is underway…stay tuned!)
Only serious tabletop gamers need apply. This isn’t Candyland & Monopoly. For 8 weeks, Burt & Amy curate a gaming gauntlet testing your skills of strategy, dexterity and good ol' fashioned luck. You earn points each week as you face off against a different opponent, culiminating in a championship match with Luppoleto / House of Books & Games prizes!
NEXT BOARD GAME LEAGUE: TBD
A few times a year, we host a Mini RPG Con in the taproom. Burt & Amy recruit experienced Game Masters to immerse you and your friends in another world. This event is open to all levels and there are multiple sessions throughout the weekend so you can choose a time and adventure that works best for you!
