It’s Connecticut Whiskey Weekend!
At least that’s what we decided. We figured what better opportunity to feature CT bourbon than Kentucky Derby weekend. And we’ve got a triple crown of bourbon cocktails for you starting at 5pm on Saturday until they run out:
- Kentucky Buck ~ Fresh strawberries steeped in Litchfield Bourbon & Rye form the base, joined by lemon and ginger beer for a layered yet refreshing seasonal treat!
- Mint Julep ~ You can’t let Derby season pass without the classic Julep. This version features a very new Connecticut Distillery called “Blue Law”. There’s nowhere the hide in a Julep template, just some sugar, mint and a splash of club soda. So you’ll get to experience the full flavor of this relative newcomer.
- Smoked Old Fashioned ~ Featuring 5th State Cask strength corn whiskey, this elevated version of our house Old Fashioned packs a surprising punch.
