Let’s face it, most creative folks work alone. That’s sometimes on purpose – but it can still get lonely. As a creative person, sometimes I crave the company of other artists who can empathize with some of the challenges of creative work. I often get energized & inspired just by hearing about what they’re working on.
There isn’t really one. I envision just a relaxed and unstructured time to get out of the studio, work on a current project or just hang out with fellow creatives.
For those of us who work in small format or digital things – maybe we can bring those along to share with the group. But I don’t want this to turn into a critque.
This is really about sharing and encouraging one another – with a delicious beverage or two.
To sweeten the deal & help keep those creative juices flowing; participants will recieve 10% off Draft Beer or Cider during their visit!
Christy is often found in one of her two studios brandishing, a paintbrush, pyrography pen or sander. She is a multi medium artist from Bloomfield who specializes in customized wood burned pet portraits. She also works in oil paints, watercolors and clay among other mediums; frequently returning to animals as her favorite subjects.
She approached us about hosting a monthly artist meetup after hearing about the “Knit Night” group that meets here. We think it’s a great idea. Christy also leads the occasional art workshop.
