Escape to New Orleans

Imagine yourself, stepping out of the steamy summer air into the cool, taproom. Soon you’re sipping a boozy beverage with the smell of spicy Jambalaya wafting by, toe-tapping LIVE Dixieland Jazz delivering the perfect soundtrack.

We won’t offer the full experience – which is to say there won’t be bead-laden revelers all around. On the plus side, that means it’ll be a more family-friendly atmosphere. There are pros & cons. But maybe if you squint, it may feel a bit like Bourbon Street (minus the ahem signature scents).

The Band

It’s pretty rare to see Live Dixieland jazz performed this far north. But once we heard them perform on Mother’s Day, we were really excited to get them in the taproom again so more people could enjoy their signature sound.

We first got connected with Tenpenny Bounce through our 20’s themed Spring Speakeasy. The spectacular saxophone ensemble, Brown Paper Sax shares some band members with this Dixie-Land Jazz group.

The Booze

We’ll be mixing up 2 NOLA inspired Cocktails for the evening:

• Hurricane Pat - Broadly in the style of Pat O’Brien’s signature fruity but powerful rum punch – with a slightly more reasonable ratio of rum.
• Praline Old Fashioned - Pecan-infused bourbon, a drizzle of House Butterscotch Liquor and orange essence

Our regular cocktail menu will also be available.

The Bites

Rolling Smokehouse will be here but they will be swapping their usual menu for some New Orleans-inspired options like:

• Bourbon Chicken
• Jambalaya
• Dirty Rice

And - to mix things up a bit: smashburgers!
