An Imperial version of our recent experiments with “Black IPA”. We are stubbornly sticking with a hop blend that heavily features Sabro for it’s ability to impart coconut-like flavors. Our goal is to create a beer that is satisfyingly hoppy, rich and roasty, silky smooth and reminiscent of chocolate covered coconut; but without either chocolate or coconut in the beer. We keep getting closer to a template we want to brew as a full batch – this is pretty darn close.
