Prova #1
This is the first iteration in our Experimental Prova Series (Prova means ‘proof’ in Italian). This beer explores what happens when we take a Belgian yeast & hop it like a NEIPA. We put loads of Dry Hops in this experimental batch but almost no hops on the “hot-side” (in the kettle). Underneath it has all the characteristics of a gently spicy (peppery) Belgian-Style pale. But on the nose are the distinctly tangerine, orange and tropical fruit medley characteristic of the current popular New England Style IPA’s.
We know we aren’t the first to try our hand at a Belgian IPA but we were more interested in seeing how a particular yeast strain blended with a particular dry-hoppping regimen.
