Tasting Notes
Lime & melon hop aromas rise from the glass, as if upon mystical wings, but don’t let the hazy appearance fool you, this beer packs a firm, pithy, lion-like bite. Neither NEIPA nor West Coast.
The Story
Sometimes you gotta make the most of the cards you’re dealt. After a few weeks on tap, I noticed our tank of Bounce Haus appeared to be full. There’s a clear tube on the side of the tank - called a sight guage - and the level hadn’t moved an inch. Barring divine intervention, I realized the sight-gauge was clogged. So this meant we were about to be out of IPA and I didn’t have a replacement on the schedule.
So, I dug around thru what grain, hops & yeast we had on hand and threw together a recipe. Who knows if we’ll ever brew it again. Who knows if it’ll be good or not. But it will be an IPA of some kind.
sigh I really wish it had been divine intervention.
